Dashboards are saved arrangements of analytics widgets. Create and manage them from Dashboards in the dashboard.

Create a dashboard

Select New dashboard, then enter a name and an optional description. Carbon creates an empty dashboard and opens it so you can start adding widgets.

Add widgets

Select Add widget on a dashboard. The modal keeps configuration on the left and a live preview on the right.

Choose a family

Widget widths are automatic when you add them. Stat bars span the full dashboard, visualisations start at half width, and tables span the full dashboard. Use a widget’s card-edge handle to resize it later.

Scope a widget

Every widget follows the dashboard’s selected time range and page-level filters. Add up to six per-widget filters when a widget should show a narrower slice of that scope. A widget description appears as its card subtitle. Leave it blank to use the standard selected-time-range subtitle.

Arrange widgets

Hover a widget to reveal its pill controls and resize handle. Changes apply and save immediately. Drag from the pill’s move handle to slot a widget before or after another widget. The grid reflows while you drag. You can also focus that handle and press the up or down arrow key to move the widget one position at a time. Use the pill’s edit control to update a widget in place, or its delete control to remove it. Drag the handle on a widget’s card edge to switch it between half and full width. Stat bars always span the full dashboard and cannot be resized.

Manage a dashboard

Select Edit in a dashboard header to change its name or description. The dashboard collection’s row menu also lets you edit or delete a dashboard.
Each dashboard can have up to 12 widgets. Each space can have up to 20 dashboards.
